The owner and CEO of the Desolation Sound Land Corp. team is Craig Duncan, a dynamic, third generation Journeyman Carpenter born and raised in Campbell River, BC.
During the course of business activities over 16 years, Craig has placed a high priority on continuing education for himself and his employees to ensure they are kept abreast of new policies and procedures within the industry, and particularly to protect both the working environment, and community environmental issues.
He maintains close working relationships with local government, and with building and planning departments in various communities. The company is Home Warranty approved in British Columbia and Alberta, extra-provincially registered, and associated with the Canadian Home Builder's Association.
Craig Duncan is a hands-on, on-site builder and developer, enabling him to monitor and ensure that every phase of construction is completed appropriately and properly, to his highest expectations. As well, his subcontractors are all qualified and experienced in their particular trades, and have worked with him for many years.
The economic slowdown in the British Columbia economy provided an opportunity for Desolation Sound Land Corp. to expand focus on condominium property development in Alberta during the past three years. Cralea Arms, a condominium project in High River, Alberta, was successfully developed and sold within a few months of completion. Stone Haven, a 34-unit project in Stony Plain, Alberta, has just been completed and sold to investors.

Desolation Sound
Land Corp.
By the age of 15, Craig had successfully built and sold his first independent project, an 1800 sq. ft. home. Before graduating from high school he was known locally as a reputable, innovative designer and builder, successfully operating under the company name of Craig Duncan Construction. During the next 10 years Craig completed his formal education and continued to expand his business endeavors in the fields of residential construction and property development.
Craig incorporated Desolation Sound Land Corp. in August 1996. He continues to focus on developing and building quality construction projects throughout British Columbia and Alberta, including single-family, multi-family, and commercial. The Revenue Property Division of Desolation Sound develops, builds and retains within the company single-family, multi-family and condominium properties for rental purposes and eventual resale.
